If you’re unable to enjoy your yard in the summertime without being eaten alive by mosquitoes, you’re not doing summer right. Sure, you could use tiki torches and citronella candles, but how well have they really worked in the past? Recently, there have been reports of new technologies to combat mosquitoes, but nothing has been proven as effective as Mosquito Squad’s barrier treatment. With nearly 90% reduction in mosquitoes in your yard for up to three weeks at a time, our Walpole mosquito control methods are the best on the market.
Yes, the Town of Walpole is included in the Norfolk County Mosquito Control District (NCMCD) for treatment, but their methods are only for public areas like roadways and parks, and the formula they use for only knocks down mosquitoes in the path of the fog, leaving the rest of them free to feast on you and your family.
We don’t want to knock NCMCD, though. They do great work with surveillance, and thanks to them we now know that mosquitoes captured in Walpole have been Mosquito Squad of Massachusetts, though, because while the county program can’t protect you from mosquitoes in your own yard, we can. With our time-released barrier treatment, you’re guaranteed to be protected in your yard for up to 21 days straight.
The first thing we do is take a walk around your property and treat any standing water or other mosquito breeding areas with larvicide, which eliminates mosquitoes in their younger stages of life and prevents eggs from hatching. When we can, we’ll eliminate any standing water after doing so. NCMCD also does this in public areas like drainage ponds and marshes, but the ones most likely to bite you are the ones that were born and raised on your own property or near it.
Following the larvicide treatment, we’ll get to work applying our EPA-registered barrier treatment formula to your yard, starting with the perimeter and working our way inward. We concentrate on areas of foliage like bushes, leaves and their undersides, woodpiles, decks (and underneath them) — basically anywhere mosquitoes like to hide. We do try our best to avoid flowers and other things that bees pollinate, though. Bees are our friends. Mosquitoes? Not so much.
It generally takes us about 20 minutes to an average property, and after that we ask that you give it 30 minutes to dry before returning to your yard. While we’re “in action,” we’re knocking down mosquitoes on contact, but the real “ magic” happens once it’s dry. Our odorless, colorless formula adheres to everything it was sprayed on, forming a “barrier” against the mosquitoes. Whenever a mosquito lands on anywhere our odorless, colorless formula has been sprayed, that mosquito is eliminated. One barrier treatment is generally effective for about 21 days before needing another application. What’s the secret? Micro encapsulation. It’s the same chemical process that allows extended release prescriptions to gradually emit its active ingredients.
To make it easier for our customers, we offer seasonal packages so that you don’t need to worry about making another appointment. We’ll always call you a day in advance remind you we’re coming, but you don’t even need to be home — we’ll leave a confirmation of service on your door. You’ll be able to finally enjoy worry-free summers outside at home — not that’s doing summer right!
You may live in an area that is more woodsy than others, or perhaps you’ve got a barn or live near the water. You may just want to have a bit more control than a traditional barrier treatment for your Walpole mosquito control. We’ve got you covered. Our automatic misting systems will do just the trick. These systems are designed to emit a mist of our EPA-registered barrier treatment formula at pre-programmed intervals for about 45 seconds, but also come with a remote control and an app so you can trigger the mist at your own discretion. With this method, you’ll have over 90% fewer mosquitoes on your property!
Our technicians will design the most effective misting system for your property and make sure that the misters are as inconspicuous as possible. Installation is no problem, and once your misting system is in place, Mosquito Squad takes care of everything for you, including refills, any needed maintenance, summer setup and winterization. You don’t have to lift a finger — unless you want to trigger the mist!
At Mosquito Squad, we firmly stand behind the effectiveness of all our products and services, but if you’re not satisfied for any reason, just let us know. We’ll either give your property another treatment or offer a full refund — no questions asked. We’re in the business of eliminating bugs, not customers! We also know people like to do their research before deciding on a company, so so we encourage you to click the button on the right to read over 200 reviews from local homeowners who have gone with us in the past.

All of Mosquito Squad’s products are registered with the EPA, but we know there are some people who prefer to avoid synthetics all together. That’s why we also offer an all-natural barrier treatment solution that we mix in-house using essential oils and a few other key ingredients to keep the bugs away.
Like our traditional formula, our all-natural solution also knocks down mosquitoes on contact, but then acts as a repellant, not an eliminator. You may notice a slight botanical smell after application, but it wears off to the human nose in a couple hours. However, to a bug, it confuses and “chases” them off your property. Our all-natural formula is around 80% effective, and like the traditional formula, it’s also time released. But because of its botanical makeup, it breaks down slightly faster so we recommend re-application every two weeks instead of three.
Warmer weather means more outdoor events like weddings, graduation parties, and family reunions. No matter what the occasion, make sure your guests aren’t on the mosquito menu and alert the SQUAD ahead of time! We offer special event treatments to keep your party memorable for all the right reasons, not because of the bugs.
We’ll come to the site of the event a day or two in advance and treat the whole area with our barrier treatment. It only takes about 20 minutes to do one treatment and 30 minutes to dry, so it’s easy to schedule around caterers, tent setup and other party prep. We’ll be in and out in no time, and if your guests decide to leave early, it won’t be because of the bugs!
